I have scrapped again. I have been totally devoid of scrapping motivation in the past couple of months, but today was the day. I finished three layouts for Scrap Pile and have ordered some more goodies.

May Inspiration Challenge........................

at Scrap Pile is all about Mothers to celebrate Mothers Day. The challenge is to create a layout that celebrates motherhood. This may be Mothers Day photos, a proud mummy moment etc. I have scrapped last years Mothers Day photos ~ terrible blurry photos, but they were the only ones of breakfast in bed that we had, and despite being blurry, the memories are preserved.

Happy Mothers Day to all the mums out there. Hope you were spoilt.

it's been over a month, but I have scrapped and I ENJOYED it!!! Was beginning to think my scrapping days were over, but in the past few days the desire to scrap has returned. I have completed my latest assignment for Scrap Pile using a Bo Bunny Timepiece and a selection of Graphic 45 papers, as well as a couple of just because layouts.

It has been 12 months since DS really started banging on about getting a pet lizard, and now we have not one but two!!!!
"Henry" and "Lawson" have come to live with us, so named after their scientific name of Pogona Henry Lawsoni.
Never thought I would find reptiles endearing but these little critters are huge time wasters and I spend almost as much time looking at and talking to them as I do the dogs ~ think I've gone a little bit balmy!!! Anyway here they are:

DS thinks they are adorable and spends hours with them and we have the lizard Taj Mahal in the games room.

what happened to the rest of February and March?????? Feels like i have just blinked and now it is April although it has been mighty busy at work with a VET audit pending. Only one more week and I will be on holidays ~ woohoo looking forward to that and I only have a few minor work tasks to complete.
Whilst I haven't been very creative on the scrapping front (mojo is awol at the moment) I have been playing around with a couple of bears. Think I am ready to start making them again ~ on my terms this time though, not to order and not to a schedule. Here are a couple of photos of the most recent creations:

Will be heading down to the Central Coast for a workshop that I have been booked into since the Xmas holidays. The workshops are organised by Sherry Mendoza of Your Creative Journey. The workshop is a mixed media canvas with international artist Nathalie Kalbach.
Not much else planned, maybe some shopping. Have promised DS we will go investigating lizard habitats ~ I've caved and said he can have a pet lizard. Need to apply for my reptile license (didn't see that one coming!!!) this week.

Anyhow, need to get off here and get the sketch challenge for Scrap Pile sorted.......................

the DT challenge at Love Scrappin this month was to create Christmas themed layouts and to feature a paper techinque. I had the gorgeous Pink Paislee Christmas collection to work with and the images just screamed to be cut out so my paper technique was fussy cutting.

for one week and my blogging has gone to hell in a handbag!! Note to self ~ get that fixed!! Work has been OK despite a heatwave since Australia Day where the daytime temps haven't dropped below 39C and the overnight low has been 28C. A cool change expected late tomorrow afternoon and then down to 26C on Monday ~ bring it on. Given the recent catastrophic weather conditions and resulting damage and loss of life in QLD, I'm not complaining , just making note.

I'd like to say I've been busy and that's why this poor blog has been neglected, but I can't!! I am however very rested and have caught up on all the trashy day time TV that I miss when I'm at work. The past week has been busy though. DP's daughter came to visit from NZ so we did some nice things:
Monday ~ sightseeing in Sydney, including lunch at the Sydney Tower revolving restaurant
Wednesday ~ retail therapy at Charlestown Square and Westfield Kotara
Friday ~ Waterpark and beach (beach was amazingly GOOD)
Saturday ~ out for dinner
Sunday ~ more retail therapy
The visit went well and some questions answered.
DS came home from his trip to Perth with his Dad.
Needless to say I didn't have much opportunity to do any crafting, but I did finish some DT layouts for Scrap Pile:

I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous Bo Bunny Noel papers and embellishments.

Have been experiencing a yearning for more tactile crafting of late, and as much as I've tried I just can't get into my teddy bears again, so I'm looking at some new options for creative expression...................

Etsy!! I have bought a few items from Etsy (I could buy a few items everyday - there are so many gorgeous items on there - my favourites list grows everyday!!) ~ some mini canvases and a couple of necklaces ~ one for my Mum for Xmas that she absolutely loved.
Yesterday I ordered a variation of this from the Etsy store Shabby Chic Designs

I am only having the long bar, pearl and gem. My 2011 word "Balance" will be stamped on the bar. Should be here in 2-3 weeks.

In the vein of Ali Edwards and her One Little Word concept I have decided my word for 2011 is

BALANCE

In particular I need to regain a work / life balance.

In 2010 work took priority and even though my hours of work are 8.20am - 3pm I was regularly at work by 7.30am and often not leaving until 5.30pm-6pm. That has to stop in 2011.

There will be new challenges in 2011, but those challenges need to be met during working hours.

So that is my resolve

Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011..................

We had a lovely New Years gathering here last night with the neighbours ~ oh, how nice it is to have neighbours we want to socialise with!! Had planned to have a big night, but 1 cocktail and 2 red wines later, it was rather tame, but I am thankful for that today.
2010 seemed to disappear in the blink of an eye, but on reflection it has been a massive year for me and us. Our year in review:


January ~Happy 9th birthday


April ~ Easter Bunny arrived and we arrived at a major decision ~ to sell up and move out of town. Real Estate agent contacted, house listed.


May ~ the Masterchef phenoenom hit our house and Riley developed an interest in cooking ~ and it has continued.

June ~ this gorgeous creature joined our family. A rescue dog from the RSPCA. Tammy is delightful and an amazing dog.

July ~ we moved from here...........................

to here................. 2 gorgeous acres, 10 minutes from town. Sheer heaven on earth!!

September ~ Riley and I went off to his first school camp ~ happy days

and we had two camping trips to Riverwood Downs ~ more happy days

October ~ we visited these ~ woohoo

and this. Two amazing weeks in Egypt ~ priceless

November ~ Ummmmm what happened?? How did this amazing, beautiful girl get all growed up??? Off to her first formal, and clever too, scooped the pool at presentation day. WTG Meggy!!

December ~ Newcastle Bikers Charity Toy Ride

and my beautiful friend Kay retires. Happy Retirement Kay, sure will be different without you.

Christmas Delight

Only a snippet of what has transpired in the last 12 months. My work has now become a career again with a clear path to promotion. Beginning in 2010 as the co-ordinator of a major program, my role is being expanded in 2011, with a pay rise, and a new challenge. On a personal note I reconcilled with my grandmother after 9 years. A highly emotional time, but a step I am so thankful I took. I can never get those 9 years back, but I can make the most of what time is left. My greatest regret is that she doesn't really know Riley and that is a tragedy, I'll always have my memories and those who meddled can never take those away.

So all that is left to say is goodbye 2010 and hello 2011

A Christmas Roundup................

Once again Christmas was full of love and joy, and 10 year old excitement. DS was beside himself leading up to Christmas. He knew he was getting a quad bike from us, but had no idea what Santa might leave, and I don't think he really cared ~ 2010 was all about the quad. I was a little mean and told him the delivery mans truck had broken down and the quad wouldn't be delivered until later on Xmas Day. To keep him away from the garage I told him it had been sprayed because there were white tail spiders in there ~ oh, the little lies we tell to keep the magic alive. Needless to say there was a fairly loud squeal of delight when I sent him over to the shed to let the dog out when he got up at 6.00am. Seems that gone are the days of waking him at 8.00am to open presents.
Anyway here's a little look at our day:

Egypt was fabulous ~ everything is on a grand scale and there is definitely a WOW factor!! I didn't enjoy the culture or the food as much as Vietnam, but what we saw was mighty impressive:

Stamp Camp.........................

Two or three times each term a group of us gather together for a scrapping night which usually revolves around a Kaszazz workshop. This past weekend a couple of us joined the Kaszazz stamp camp at Riverwood Downs. It was a fabulous weekend of uninterrupted scrapping with a variety of challenges on offer it you were so inclined. I decided to participate in 2 of the challenges. The first involved a challenge pack and this was the result:

The second was more open with the criteria being: Kaszazza products and altered chipboard. Fortunately I had taken along my Vietnam holiday to scrap and had an appropriate photo to match some Kaszazz papers, and the result:

Whilst in Vietnam we attended the ex-pats Anzac Day ceremony at the Intercontinental Hotel in Ho Chi Min City. To alter the chipboard I first inked, then stamped and then applied Dimensional Magic;

I had a successful weekend in the challenges with this one winning it's section and a second in the challenge pack competition.

where have the past 3 weeks gone???? Life has been busy. Our old house has been sold and the final moving and cleaning completed. Another two weekends were spent at Riverwood Downs and here we are the end of September and holidays have begun!!
Nothing to share on the scrapping front ~ been way too busy and distracted to scrap :-(, but Suz at Love Scrappin has designed a fabulous scrap tote that is exclusively available HERE. Want a peak??

I feel like I have had a weekend after months of my weekends disappearing into nothingness or being consumed by "must do" activities, and surprisingly my mojo has returned. I have been finding scrapping difficult lately, too many other things to think about, but this past week I got back to my old habit of planning layouts in my head and gathering supplies. Then yesterday when I sat down to scrap it just all fell into place ~ easily ~ just like it did before the craziness began.

And, just quietly, I am very happy with the results. Anyhow, back to work tomorrow, so it's off to bed for me.

I'm back!!!!! Yes it has been almost a month, but I have a good excuse ~ moving and no internet. The move went relatively smoothly, but was totally exhausting. We totally packed up one house, moved and completely unpacked in 8 days. I then had 3 days of my holiday left, but most of that time was spent pottering and organising.
On the scrapping front, I only managed my Scrap Pile DT layouts as it was way too difficult to scrap from boxes and the boxes had to be packed. I had the pleasure of working with the gorgeous 7 Gypsies Avignon range and couldn't help but add Prima goodness:

Tammy has settled in well and provides us with plenty of laughs. Think she will also become a fav scrapping topic too :)

where has the time disappeared to??? This past month has been crazy, but I had no idea that it had been 4 weeks since I visited this little part of cyberspace. So. what has been happening??? 12 weeks ago we decided that enough was enough in this neighbourhood and it was time to move. A few manic weeks of preparing this house for sale and then it was on the market. The plan was to sit tight and sell this property before making any moves, but that didn't last very long. After a trip to the bank and investigating the cost of renting if we sold before buying it became apparent that the best option would be to buy regardless of if this property was sold. And of course with that decision made, the perfect property came up. After a week of drooling at it over the net and a trip to a nearby display village, we decided to take the plunge and have a look only to have our hopes dashed as there were already buyers on the property. After a few days of major disappointment we got back on the horse and started trawling the real estate sites again. A country drive one Sunday afternoon renewed our hope and the search was on again. Meanwhile the dream property was still on the net. A couple of weeks later there was still nothing that interested us, except the dream property, so off I went to the agent to find out what was going on. Thirty minutes later I was viewing the property and 2 hours later an offer was made. The offer was accepted a couple of days later and the the legal wheels began to turn.
Fast forward to today and this house looks like a disaster zone as I pack it ready for the pending move. Settlement is Wednesday and the official move is Friday. Needless to say we are all riding high on excitement here. I never dreamed that we would purchase a property that not only met ALL of our needs but seriously meets our wants as well, including a gorgeous dedicated studio room for me :-)
So, that's the last 12 weeks in a nutshell, scrapping has been minimal, but I do need to upload my June (how embarrassing) DT layouts for Scrap Pile and then get back to the packing.

Weekly DT Challenge....................

A few months ago I won a scrapping competition ScrapDango and the prize was a Guest DT position. Heather sent me the fabulous Spice kit which featured Bella Man About the House papers, Cosmo Cricket alphas, the new Basic Grey Basics border and journal stickers and a variety of chipboard pieces:

one of which had to be a double layout

and an OTP

This is a seriously good kit for all your male or boy layouts and absolutely perfect for scrapping those upcoming Fathers Day photos.

are Scrap Pile are up and running. For the month of May I am responsible for the Technique Challenge and the Inpiration Challenge. The technique challenge requires a layout to feature paper rolling as a method of distressing. A tutorial on paper rolling can be found HERE.
And my interpretation of the challenge

For the Inspiration challenge I decided to use the following quote (again)

"we do not remember days, we remember moments"

It's such a versatile quote and lends itself to nearly any photo. And my interpretation tis time

Desperately trying to use up some of my older goodies on every second layout!!

Currently working on some gorgeous Glitz design papers that Gill has sent me. Reveal will be very soon!! My scrapping is suffering amongst the house buying/selling.

I have a goal to secure a new home this week. I am 95% settled on a property, just need a look this week and then it's all systems go. Fingers crossed.

We had three inspections on this place over the weekend and three positive reports, one in particular very positive, so waiting to see if that materialises into something more definite. Here's hoping!!

I have been in a scrapping slump of late. Just no motivation at all. I'm fairly certain it is associated with the restlessness I have felt since deciding to sell my home. I have no regrets regarding the decision, but now that the decision is made I am impatient and just want it to happen, but alas still waiting on some paperwork from the local Council - what a surprise!!
I have completed my DT projects for Scrap Pile. I had the pleasure of playing with the nnew Scribble Scrabble range. These are lovely papers with mildy grungy designsand great country colourways. And the projects:

We will be playing one product, three ways in our next DT packs, so looking forward to that challenge. Well that's all for now

i stumbled across this new challenge blog today The Color Room. Lots of well known local and international scrappers involved in this venture. The challenge is weekly and involves an ispiration picture, 4 colours from the image and a sketch. This is the first challenge:

Love Scrappin' Easter Projects.............................

I have had the pleasure of working with the Jillibean Soup Easter range of papers to create Easter projects. Jillibean Soup, available from Love Scrappin, is a relatively new company and I haven't used this brand before, but the papers were gorgeous. Lovely head weight, double-sided papers with adorable patterns. I decided to make a series of Easter treat bags:

Spent today in Sydney at the NSW Teachers Federation Council meeting ~ long day, but lunch at a local pub was very good. Next one isn't until May, so a bit of a break.
Planning on doing a bit of scrapping tomorrow, haven't done anything much this week and next week I'll be away at Year 7 Camp for 3 days, so next week will have limited opportunities.

at Scrap Pile are in the gallery. This month I have had the pleasure of playing with My Minds Eye papers and embellishments and Smooch inks. I loved the colour palette in the papers and they were perfect for my beach photos. The coordinating diecuts and tags were perfect accompaniments:

I used the Smooch inks to add flourishes to the frame and to highlight the centres of the flowers:

The march challenges are underway over at Scrap Pile. This month I was responsible for the Inspiration challenge and the Technique challenge. This gorgeous image is the basis of the Inspiration challenge:

I saw layers, lace, pink, chandeliers and blossoms and my interpretation:

The technique challenge is all about hand cutting, sometimes known as fussy cutting. The Bella "Sarah Jane" papers were absolutely perfect for this technique and my interpretation:

I have a second example for this challenge, but I wasn't completely happy with it. Have done a little rearranging and will post shortly.

All challenges are due in the relevant gallery folders by midnight 31st March. Have fun creating.

Crowned Week 4...................................

despite my rough week, I decided to finish what I had started with the Crowned comp over at ScrapDango and completed my final layout yesterday. The challenge was to select one of the February Pagemaps sketches and create a layout with at least three techniques from the list provided. I chose to add hand cutting, inking, stamping and misting/masking on my layout, which turned out like this:

I'll be back tomorrow with the challenges for March over at Scrap Pile. Tonight I'll be concentrating on my DT layouts for Scrap Pile. I have some yummy MME boy themed bits and pieces to play with.

An Emotional Rollercoaster......................

is the only way I can describe the past few weeks, but I made my peace today and buried some demons. I haven't had contact with my Grandmother for 9 years after a nasty family falling out, but in recent months, primarily due to her failing health and her making peace with my Dad, I have felt the need to make my own peace. The reasons have ceased to become important, but it was important to me that she didn't pass away thinking I hated her. So today, with my Dads help, I visited her for the first time in over 9 years and it was hard, but I am so glad I did it, so glad she got to meet my gorgeous DS. And I will visit her again. Only looking forward now, the past is buried......................

As a result of my rollercoaster I haven't done much scrapping, but fate works in mysterious ways and the couple of projects I have completed helped me with clarity regarding what I knew I needed to do.These projects were for the "Crowned" comp at Scrap Dango.
There was a Sparkle and Shine themed challenge and I scrapped a mini album for my Aunt and her family:

This family lost a son and brother in a car accident 10 years ago and have really struggled, but at this event they were shining and the sparkle was back. Although I have always known it, there was a realisation that life is not a dress rehearsal ~ you only get one go!! I have asked Mum to pass the album onto my aunt as I can't deal with anymore rollercoasters at the moment.

The second project was to scrap a memory of the past, and here goes fate again, a photo of me and my brother in 1972 on the front steps of my Grandmothers house:

Crowned ~Week 2

at ScrapDango was all about numbers: 5 photos, 4 fonts in the title, 3 patterned papers, 2 other embellishment products only (I chose diecuts and buttons), 1 cardstock. A journaling box and adhesives were free items. As soon as I read the challenge I had an idea for some photos I had already printed off in small format, and the result:

I love this layout ~ it's so captures my boy!! Planning on some more scrapping tonight ~ need to work on my 'Sparkle and Shine' random challenge for the Crowned competition.

Probably didn't help that I had a meeting in Sydney yesterday ~ left at 6.00am and didn't return until 7.30pm, but I have had a chance to do some scrapping this afternoon. i found the Scrapdango site recently ~ I love kits and was surfing the net trying to find a monthly kit that might tempt me when I stumbled across ScrapDango and their new "Crowned" competition. I love scrapping to challenges, especialy when I need a bit of a kick start, so decided to sign up for the comp. The first challenge was due today sometime (still haven't worked out the time conversion!!!) and this is the layout I came up with for the first challenge:

There was a variety of criteria but the main one was to create embellishments from fabric and ribbon/lace, so except for the small brown roses, all the flowers are handmade by me!! Really looking forward to the next challenge that will be released tomorrow.

Lazy Days of Summer......................

comp week four is on now at Scrap Pile. It is my turn to host the comp for the next two weeks. The challenge over the next two weeks is to create a mini album with the theme of "Lazy Days of Summer". The only additional criteria is to have a minimum of 6 (six) pages plus a front and back cover. And my example album:

I have to say I am really happy with the end result of this album. It has a really happy feel to it!!

Yep, that's how I've been since returning to work, but zi think I am on top of everything at work and normal programming should resume!!
Last week was Week 3 of the Lazy Days of Summer comp over at Scrap Pile. The challenge was to create a layout celebrating Xmas 2009 with the added criteria of creating your own embellishment. I created this layout for the challenege:

My handmade embellishment was the Xmas tree which was inspired by the Wooloworths 2009 Xmas logo.

is in the air ~ for Valentines Day that is!!! Suz over at Love Scrappin' sent me some Little Yellow Bicycle valentines papers and chipboard hearts to create some cards. I don't consider myself a cardmaker, as such, but I am really happy with these results and really enjoyed the process of creating them:

Not sure if DP will receive one of these, they're a bit too girlie. Think he will be in receipt of my more masculine option posted earlier this week.

Can't believe that another week has passed by. This week was fairly quiet and I actually did some organisation for the pending return to work next week. Feeling good about going back to work, there are going to be lots of changes and new challenges, but all for the better. I have really good classes and a couple of subjects that I haven't taught for a few years so that will be motivating.

A quiet weekend planned as it is bloody hot here. We might head out for a while tomorrow if it cools off, a storm is predicted for this afternoon, just hope it finds us!! DP and I are treating ourselves to a nice lunch out somewhere on Tuesday to celebrate our anniversary, not sure where we will go yet.

On the scrapping front, I have been quite productive getting ahead with my DT commitments before returning to work as the first few weeks are always manic!! So nothing else to reveal at the moment.

just because I can!!!!

These are my final Christmas layouts for 2009. I have planned the Christmas mini album and have all the supplies in a box,ummmm need to get the photos printed, but that will have to wait until next week as I have DT layouts to complete before the end of the weekend.

I have been on holidays for a month now, but it only seems like yesterday was my last day at work for 2009. I have done no school work, except move my work bag under the desk so I couldn't see it, but next week it will have to come out. I think I have probably got about 10-15 hours work to do before I go back. Looking forward to this year at work ~ I am taking up 2 new roles which will be quite challenging and I am really looking forward to my classes ~ a couple of courses I haven't taught for a couple of years and a new syllabus ~ always keeps things interesting!! And my Year group will be in Year 9 ~ oh the joys of 14-15 year old girls!!!

Scrap Pile January Technique Challenge.......

is masking and misting. Neither needs to be store bought to participate, but Gill has a lovely range of Glimmermists at Scrap Pile which can be found HERE.

In my example layout I used a Tim Holtz mask and two shades of Glimmermist, coordinated with College Press papers and a variety of embellies. I have also listed some tips for success and how to make your own masks and mists HERE. And now for the example:DS was playing with my scrap supplies and made a lovely booklet for his Letter to Santa, complete with an embossed cover using the Big Shot. Only trouble was he got it into an envelope and sealed so quickly that I didn't know what he had asked for. Luckily I needed to readdress the envelope and got a sneak peak and photo!!
His reply letter from Santa is tucked in under the photo mat.

We welcomed the new year quietly with friends over at Maitland. Took the kids to the 9pm riverbank fireworks and then went back to their house for cheese and wine. Today has been very quiet ~ I've had several very unproductive days, but I guess that is what holidays are all about.

My word for 2010 is going to be ................... BALANCE

Well Christmas is over and it was good again this year. DS thoroughly enjoyed himself and totally appreciated every gift he received. It's quiet around here at the moment as he has gone to Perth for 8 days with his Dad to visit rellies.

I have been lacking scrapping motivation recently, but today I just scrapped because I could and I'm really happy with the results:
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of supplies I have and have decided I need to go on bit of a shopping diet until I work my way through some of it. That should also help with the mojo. I have also started scrapping Christmas, will upload later.

Finally finished my December DT projects for Scrap Pile. I had the pleasure of working with a Bella Acrylic Album and Kaisercraft Rewind papers. These papers were perfect for recent photos of the Newcastle Charity Toy Run:

A colleague from Singleton contacted me earlier this year requesting a teddy bear for her first grand daughter for Christmas. I haven't really made bears for about 3 years, but agreed to the commission, and here is the result:
Not sure where I will go with the bears, but I really enjoyed the creative process in making her, so I'll probably make a bear here and there.

Time Flies................................

when you're having fun or more rightly, too busy to scratch yourself!! The past fortnight has literally disappeared!! The final 2 weeks of school were manic, but thankfully I managed to find some time to clean up my desk area and have a good throw out. I'm getting better at throwing stuff away ~ not much sense in keeping resources for syllabi that no longer exist or courses I haven't taught since leaving Singleton 5 years ago!!

We had our Christmas function at Tatler Wines and it was a fabulous celebration after a hard year. Way too much alcohol was consumed by some and the food was, as always, sensational. A venue I totally recommend for a function or just lunch if you are visiting this part of the world.

I have received my December DT pack from Scrap Pile and it is perfect for scrapping photos of the Toy Run. I also have a teddy bear to finish off for a former colleague, so I',m gonna be busy!!

Newcastle Charity Toy Run...........

The Newcastle Charity Toy Run is organised by local bikers to support the Salvation Army in their collection efforts for Christmas. Today was the 32nd annual ride and huge. It took 45mins from the time the first bikes entered the foreshore until the last bike arrived.

Riley's Dad takes part in the ride, so we drive him to the marshaling point and then he rides pillion with his Dad for the official ride.

We then headed into Darby Street for a relaxing lunch. A good day all round really.

Scrap Pile DT Projects...........................

I have been very remiss in not updating this poor blog with my DT work at Scrap Pile. Finally, though I have emerged from the pile of end of year reports and registrations and I'm ready to cruise to Christmas.

Anyway, back to Scrap Pile. For my first project I had the pleasure of creating a mini album with the Kaisercraft Dear Santa range found HERE and the Maya Road Long Binder album found HERE. I am going to use this album as my December Daily album to record our festive season.
I am going to be realistic with this album. I know that until I am on holidays in 2 weeks time I probably won't complete each day, so I plan top take the photos and write journaling notes and then complete the pages on the weekend.
My second projects featured the absolutely gorgeous Bella~Sarah Jane range of papers. These are heavy weight papers that feature the most beautiful designs and colour combinations. I don't do alot of girly layouts but these papers just scream girly:

I had the pleasure of working with a mixture of Kaisercraft "Carnival" papers which feature traditional Xmas patterns with non traditional colours and Fancy Pants "Kraft" collection. The Fancy Pants papers are not a Xmas line but combine beautifully with the Kaisercraft papers to produce layouts that in a non traditional colour scheme:

Oh, my poor neglected blog!! Seems it's just that time of the year when there just aren't enough hours in the day. I have been busy on the scrapping front, working on my layouts for Love Scrappin. I have teamed Xmas themed papers with some non Xmas papers to create a couple of non traditional Xmas layouts. The kits will be released this week but here are a couple of sneaky peaks:
On the work front, life is crazy. We are smack in the middle of the manic two weeks where all we do is mark, assess and write reports. I will be finished on Friday of this week as the following two weeks I am out of the school due to our annual Lifesaving Program. So, one more week of crazy and then things will settle down again.

In other news, I hurt my hand last week and have a broken finger and a sprained finger, which are making scrapping and typing mighty slow and painful.

My first layout as GDT at Scrapping Outback is the 4 product challenge:

and I have finished my layouts from Creative Edge. Unusual for me as I usually go along to workshops and learn the techniques but quite often don't complete the layouts!! I must have really liked these ones. "Cousin" is the layout from Steph Devlin workshop and focused on hybrid scrapping, creating flowers and altering flowers:
